What is Fantasy Shopper?

Fantasy Shopper is an innovative fashion focused online community, a community that allows you to shop, play and inspire others with your style. Fantasy Shopper boasts over one million fashion items from stores all over the world, giving you the opportunity to add your favourite items to your Fantasy Wardrobe. Your Fantasy Wardrobe acts as your very own fashion wish list, which you can share with friends, family and the Fantasy Shopper community.

Not only this, but you can also get Style Advice from your fellow Fantasy Shoppers as well as enter daily Events, which are themed allowing you to show off your styling skills, and even win vouchers, discount codes and prizes.

If you have a keen eye for what’s hot and are passionate about fashion, get involved with Fantasy Shopper and be right at the heart of an online fashion consciousness. Fantasy Shopper allows you to plan outfits for special events, discover items in your favourite stores, maintain a shareable wish list, as well as receiving feedback on which of your outfits are a success.

Is Fantasy Shopper free?

Yes, Fantasy Shopper is completely free to use and always will be. Our mission is to allow everyone to have access to all fashion capitals without having to spend a single penny. Fantasy Shopper is simply intended to join together like minded fashionistas in a free and fun online community.

What is a Wardrobe?

Your Fantasy Wardrobe is your item wish list on Fantasy Shopper. You can add as many items as you wish to your wardrobe and share them via Twitter, Facebook or Email if you wish. Your wardrobe can also be organized rack by rack to allow you to shop and create outfits with ease.

1. How to: Profile and Account Settings

How to sign up for Fantasy Shopper

To sign up go to www.fantasyshopper.com and select ‘Create an account’ at the top right hand side of the page.

You can also register via Facebook.

How to change your bio

When you're signed up to Fantasy Shopper, hover over your name (top right), then click Settings. From here, you are able to type in a bio in the centre field, this bio can be personal or simply a few details about your sense of style.

How to connect your Social Networks

When you're signed onto Fantasy Shopper, hover over your name in the tool bar (top right) , and then click Settings. It is here that you can choose to include your social links on the left hand side where you will see the Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Blog icons. Click Save Changes when you're finished. Here at FS HQ we also encourage bloggers who indulge in a little Fantasy Shopping to link us up to their blogs, as part of our ever- expanding fashion community.

How to change email notification preferences

When you're signed onto Fantasy Shopper, hover over your name in the tool bar (top right) , then click Settings. On this page, you can choose which emails you'd like to receive and how frequently. Click Save Changes when you're finished.

How to deactivate your account

To deactivate your account please visit your Settings page where you will find an option to deactivate. Please note that deactivating your Fantasy Shopper account will render your profile inaccessible to others and remove your profile picture.

How to discover items

To begin your Fantasy Shopper journey, simply click ‘Discover’ and from here:

Browse through the cities available for shopping in by clicking ‘Browse’
Check out what other people are wearing/ buying by selecting ‘Activity’
Find a specific item by using the search tool and selecting ‘Search’

How to add items to your wardrobe

When you see an item you'd like to add to your Fantasy Wardrobe, hover over the item and select the ‘Add to Wardrobe’ option. The item will automatically be moved to the unsorted rack of your Fantasy Wardrobe.

How to use the item search tool

To find an item you’re looking for go to ‘Discover’ and then ‘Items’. From here enter the search term for what you are looking for into the ‘Search for an Item’ field. Finally confirm your search by clicking ‘enter’ on your keyboard

You’ll now be able to filter your results by Location, Gender, Category, Subcategory, Colour, Price, Retailer as well as Availability.

3. How to: Create an outfit

To create an outfit begin by clicking ‘Style’. This will open up the Outfit Creator into which you can drag items from your wardrobe to comprise your first outfit. Using the options at the top you can layer your items and re- arrange them accordingly.

Click the full screen button in the top right hand corner of the outfit creator to switch to a full screen Outfit Creator.

How to re-size an item

Click on the item you want to re-arrange in order to select it. Click the circle within the blue frame of your selected item and drag your mouse outwards to enlarge the item. To reduce the size of the item, drag your mouse towards the top left hand corner of the blue frame.

How to layer items

Click on the item you want to re-arrange in order to select it. Click ‘Up’ to move a selected item to the front (Or: press SHIFT and the up key on your keyboard). Click ‘Down’ to move it backward (Or: press SHIFT and the down key on your keyboard).

How to delete items from your outfit

To delete the selected item from the Outfit Creator click the ‘Delete’ button or press the DEL key on your keyboard.

You can also delete the item by clicking on it within the wardrobe rack of your outfit creator.

How to create a Style Assist request

If you require support from your fellow Fantasy Shoppers, click on ‘Style’ at the top of your screen. From here, click on ‘Style Assist’ and then ‘ Get Style Assistance’. You will then be able to describe your style query in 110 characters, as well as giving your outfit a name by clicking on ‘Outfit Information’. Once you have completed this, ‘Send Style Assistance’ and await a response.

How to respond to a Style Assist request

To respond to a style request, click on ‘Style Assistance’ and from here you will see a list of style queries that your fellow Fantasy Shoppers have raised. If you think you can offer someone some valuable style advice click, ‘View Request’ and then ‘Offer Style Assist’. From here click on ‘Outfit Information’ and you will be able to detail a response. You can also add items to the outfit created so far, by clicking on the drop down menu. Here you will find the contents of the shoppers wardrobe and you will be able to add items from here. When you are happy with your response, press ‘Save Outfit’ and your work is done!

3. How to: Enter an Event / Contest

If you fancy yourself as the competitive type, why not enter one of our daily outfit challenges in a bid to win prizes and community kudos? If you want to find out more, click on the ‘Style’ icon at the top of your screen, followed by ‘Events’. Then click ‘Enter Event’ and get styling!

Please be aware that each of our outfit challenges only run for 24 hours (?) and you therefore cannot enter past events.

4. How to: Use your Fantasy Wardrobe

How to add a wardrobe rack

If you wish to organize your wardrobe, Fantasy Shopper provides you with the option to do so and better still it is simple and effective to use. Simply click, ‘My Closet’ and ‘Edit Wardrobe’. You will then be giving the option to ‘Add a Rack’.

How to rename a wardrobe rack

If you wish to rename a wardrobe rack, navigate your way into your closet and then ‘Edit Wardrobe’. To rename a rack, click on the grey pencil next to the existing name of the rack. This will allow you to edit the name or cancel your changes if you change your mind.

How to delete a wardrobe rack

If you have created a rack that you no longer need, click on the cross in the right hand corner of the box. This will give you several options, you can delete the existing rack (which will move the items in there into an unsorted rack), you can simply delete the rack and the items in it or you can cancel. Please note that if you do delete the rack and the items in this rack, you will be unable to retrieve these items.

How to change the order of your wardrobe racks

Simply grab hold of the rack you wish to move and drag it to the desired place using your mouse.

How to delete items from your wardrobe

If you are looking to delete a specific item, navigate your way into your wardrobe, where you will be faced with a number of racks. Click on the item that you wish to delete and then click, ‘Organise Rack’. All of the items that comprise this rack will then be displayed. Grab the item you wish to delete and drag it towards the top of the screen. From here you will be hovering over two options; ‘Drop Here to Delete’ and ‘ Drag Here to Change Racks’

How to organise your items in your wardrobe racks

If you wish to organise the items in your wardrobe, firstly navigate your way into your wardrobe and click on the rack you wish to rearrange. You will then be faced with all of the items that comprise that particular rack. You will be able to grab hold of each item and drag to move it around. If you wish to move an item to a different rack, grab hold of the item and drag to the top right hand corner of the screen. You will then be able to drop the item into the rack that best suits.

5. How to: Commenting & Sharing

How to comment on an item

If you wish to leave a comment on an item, click on the item that you wish to comment on and scroll to the bottom of the box. Here you will find the ‘Write a comment’ option.

How to comment on an outfit

In the same way that you can comment on Facebook, if you wish to leave someone a comment on an outfit, simply type your comment in the ‘Write a comment’ box.

How to share an item

If you would like to share an item via social media, simply click on ‘View Details’ on the item and you will then be faced with Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Pinterest icons, which you will need to click on in order to share.

How to share an outfit

You can share an outfit in the same way that you share a single item. Simply click on ‘View Outfit’ and then onto the relevant social media icon to share.
